photography + art

I think it’s high time I usher in a new year of photography, image making, retouch, art (and blogging) with a congratulatory greeting! Im 24 and feeling like life’s just beginning. I love that about new years. I have a huge list of projects and ideas and it feels like I’m already running out of time. I hate that about new years. My thoughts for the new year have been why not live life doing what you love? why not live out what you believe? I reckon its a year to aim high.
So far my career has been overshadowed by this epic sense of urgency that I have so much more inside this head and heart and no way to let it out. Its as frustrating as it is daunting. My struggle is translating passion into something tangible and worth wile. How do you do that? To make it worse, a seemingly debilitating lack of equipment gives me an excuse to procrastinate. Some of my best work was shot using my trusty camera and two energy saving light bulbs….go figure.
So I think it’s fitting to start the year with my biggest word count yet, and with the hope that I can get that thing in my chest a creative outlet…
